2021.09.26 20:07 DumbBitchAssCuntFag How do I get over the anxiety about my job marketability when I graduate with a CS degree?
Hello, I am a current CS student that is going along with my degree, and I am already feeling not only imposter syndrome, but more of a worry that I might not get a job after I graduate. I was not fortunate enough to get an internship yet, but I have been working on projects for my portfolio to really try and land a Jr Dev position when I am done. My biggest fear is that there is a saturated market for web developers because a TON of people are going for CS degrees these days. Am I paranoid, or is that true? And is there still plenty of jobs involving web development? Has anyone experienced this problem of difficulty getting work? I am wondering if I should focus more on Java, Python, and SQL rather than web development because of marketability. My biggest fear is not being able to get a job and all my money and time in the degree I enjoy going to waste, so what is in demand?

2021.09.26 20:07 CyberWolfin Passed at 100Q on my first try!
First, I want to thank everyone in here who has shared their tips and exam experience. It really does help to see that you are not alone in this journey!
I joined Reddit about 8 weeks ago right before I started prepping for taking this test and I’ve been here everyday just to check new posts.
My work required me to get certified so I had to fast track my studies and really didn’t have much time to prepare. After about 6 weeks studying around 30 hours per week after work (don’t recommend this method, my brain hurts after all of this) I finally took the test and passed!
I think there is a mysticism that surrounds this exam that makes it seem like the Mount Everest of all certifications (at least it seemed that way too me). There is so much material out there that you can use, and the official cert material is so dense and covers so much information that is very easy to feel overwhelmed.
I honestly didn’t think I could do this since I have a hard time concentrating and having the discipline to study by myself, but I did it! And so can you! Try to keep your focus and don’t give up!
Most of you already know this but I still feel like I need to mention it: this isn’t a technical exam, you do need to understand how things work, but just enough to be able to make informed decisions.
Resources used: OSG 8th and 9th edition. Mindmap videos on YouTube. Sari Greene bootcamp on O’reilly IT & Security app Official study app “Why you will pass the CISSP” video recommended here several times (10/10, it’s a must watch!) As other have mentioned I highly recommend to create your own phrases to memorize the SDLC steps, Incident Response steps, Risk Assessment steps etc etc and understand what happens at every stage and the type of security actions/decisions you can make at each stage.
Good luck to all of you!

2021.09.26 20:07 Numerous-Use1068 Pain inside nose
29 year old male. Not on any medications with no medical illnesses except for Tinnitus.
Hi all. I took fluticasone propionate as directed by my ENT to treat tinnitus. Unfortunately it did nothing for my Tinnitus but I developed pain inside both nostrils after taking fluticasone propionate for 4 weeks 1 spray each nostril daily. I have pain inside the nose. When I breath through my nose it stimulates the pain. My ENT doesn't know what to do about it and this symptom has been going on for 4 months since stopping the medication.
Any ideas? Thank you.
