2021.12.07 23:54 Cut-Unique About Esme's parents...
It was mentioned in today's episode that her parents died when she was very young. So unless they were referring to her adoptive parents, I think that pretty much rules out the theory that Ryan Chamberlain is her father.

2021.12.07 23:54 hggthrowaway22 How do I stabilize my self-image?
I've been on a streak of feeling more attractive/liking the way I look more in the past month, but today it took a dive. I feel really ugly, more than I have in years. Before this past month, my self-image has never been completely satisfying or even mostly satisfying. Most of my life I've only tolerated the way my face and body look. Every so often, I'd have a day where I really liked the way I look, or I'd have a day where I really hated it. How do I switch from an unstable relationship with my self-image to a stable one?

After going back to Eternal Atake, I don’t understand how people can hate the album. It’s a great album. Like it’s got songs for every occasion on that album.

2021.12.07 23:54 LeaveAgreeable998 Find tool
my google docs won't allow me to use the find tool (from google chrome) it searches through the task bar for words and not the document itself if that makes sense.
Does anyone know how to use the find tool on the document itself?
For clarification, I am not referring to the find and replace tool provided by docs, referring to the tool that pops up on the top right corner of the browser when pressing shift+f

2021.12.07 23:54 SwitchGazer Need some help with a video I'm working on about music from 2001.
First off, Admins, I will not be mentioning or linking my channel here. This post is a genuine attempt at discussion to help me make a better video (or series of videos). I don't even drop the name of my channel if someone asks. No self promotion here.
Hi there, I run a music review YouTube channel. Last year I made a video about the year 1990 that I really feel I could have done better on. I got a little burnt out on 90s music so I've decided that this year I'll be covering 2001. My 1990 video had a description of the musical events of the year, a list of about 30 (nowhere near enough) albums that I deemed "important" in no particular order (made a quick joke with the album name with a letter grade, kind of a slideshow thing), a "subjective" top 5 of which ones were "most important" with more detailed descriptions of the albums, and then an underappreciated gem. The video barely got any views, and while it wasn't bad, I want to completely overhaul it and put MUCH more effort than the previous one.
The listening is done. I've listened to 101 albums over the past month and a half and I'm working on typing out more detailed reviews of each album. I was just gonna do a quick list with a snarky joke for each album like I did previously... but my friend told me that he would feel insulted if he watched a video claiming that 100 albums were listened to without at least a paragraph long review for each. Challenge accepted.
But here's the thing. My channel is tiny. I suspect if I make a 2 to 3 hour long video, my engagement is going to be terrible. I'm thinking of breaking it up by genre, with an introduction video explaining the general music history of 2001, and each genre video starting with the genre-specific history for that year, then get through the albums in that genre.
Here's a few concerns I have:
1.) Would separating the videos out actually help or should I just make a balls- long video? Or maybe after each individual video comes out, make a mega edit?
2.) I really struggled to get albums in specific genres. Reggae I could only really find 2, jazz had a lot of different people suggesting different things in my searches, etc. I fear that I'm gonna come across as some rock-biased asshole.
3.) On top of critically acclaimed stuff, I included best sellers from 2001 and 2002 since some of the 02 albums were actually released in 2001. I did this to show that I'm not some stuck up prick only looking to listen to "high art". I fear jackasses saying "you couldn't be bothered to include Stars of the Lid but Britney Spears is fine!" (I had to cut myself off to make sure I moved onto the next part of the project.)
4.) I'm scared of what Tool and White Stripes fans are gonna do to me when they see I didn't give both those albums perfect scores (this is more of a joke than an actual concern).
5.) Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is on there. This is because it was actually officially released in a streaming format by the band themselves (not exactly leaked). I feel this is important because there are tons of albums today that we call the date of official streaming release as the date the album came out. But then again Red House Painters' Old Ramon, an album slated for a 98 release but got shelved until 2001 is on there because it wasn't officially released by the band until then. Should I take Wilco out and call it a 2002 release?
To be clear, I poured as much time as possible to cover as many genres as possible. This project has turned me onto Mary J Blige, Anthony B, Rodney Crowell, and so many others. It was a very enlightening and rewarding experience. I want to take this and show people what I've done and what I've learned.
If you guys want to see my list, I can share a Google sheets document with everything I listened to. There's even some butt-rock in there just so I could comedically torture myself.
Also more than happy to discuss opinions on 2001 albums/ music! I've become quite passionate about this stuff.

2021.12.07 23:54 Mission_Test5029 If we aren’t slaves then are we at least indentured servants?
Born to middle class family who was “house poor”.
Lived in daycare like most of you till I was 5.
Elementary school was bullshit. Same with middle school. “Sit in your chair! No talking!!”
Parents divorced and lost the house. “We still love you”
High school was bullshit. Only upside was girls and sports. College was more bullshit. Upside here is girls and parties. I racked up 120,000 in student loans and got out when I was 23.
Life after college is better. I have a wife and kids now, but I feel like I’m in the same place my parents were. I’m trying my hardest to do things differently. My wife is staying home to take care of the kids. I don’t want them to deal with the same brainwashing and conditioning that takes place in the public school system. I want them to be able to express themselves and learn about shut that excites them. More and more I think the system simply won’t allow this.
It feels more and more like indentured servitude. I can’t leave my job because I “signed the paper”. We can barely afford the mortgage, car payments, medical bills, and student loans.
Is it too much to want your kids to be raised by one of their own parents? Does anyone else feel trapped in a situation like this?
